About this piece: I find inspiration all around me and I teach that daily. In this collaborative piece, students were encouraged to paint intuitively and know that each layer or mark they make is an important part to bring it together. I'm all about the process and its been a lot of fun to work on this with everyone from one year olds to fifteen year olds (and myself). I chose the theme of family for this piece because we really work together and feel like a family in the studio. It's important to me and I think the family atmosphere/values is vital to the students being able to express themselves, build confidence, and be so creative. We hope this artwork inspires others!
